Social Media – 20 Tools To Post On Social Media Sites

We talk to our clients often about what social media can do for their businesses, online and off. Most of the time we find they know they should be using those channels, but they’re not quite sure how.

Don’t accept friend requests from people you don’t know or know well. Ever heard the saying show me your friends and I’ll tell you who you are? The same pretty much applies in social media. When accepting friend requests be sure you know the person you are accepting them from or at least check out their profile. Don’t just accept request from every Tom, Dick or Harry that wants to befriend you. Do some screening. You don’t want to befriend someone who is not interested in sharing but you want to spam you with stuff you have no interest in.

Idea #3- This is especially helpful in Twitter, but can also be used in LinkedIn and Facebook. Start by going out and searching for keywords about your business or community and connecting with as many people as you can. Go outside the box of your thinking and follow as many new contacts as you can. Make it a goal to add 3 or 4 new connections a day, even if it is only one sided at this point. Once you do this, Twitter will start recommending new related contacts for you to follow. By building this network, even if you are on the following side only, many will come to you as well. I will guarantee that at least 1 out of every 10 people you begin to follow on Twitter will follow you back.

Friends and family meet regularly on Facebook. Colleagues and like-minded people use Twitter to share ideas throughout the day. Professionals are connecting on LinkedIn. Flickr and YouTube stream photos and videos to the world eternally. And blogs are maintained for topics as varied as pro football officiating and crocheting. All this is going on 24 hours a day, every day of every year. Is your business connecting with people where they are now?

Duh. There is nothing more beautiful to a person than their name. This is a given. I am surprised how many tweets, notes, and messages i get and also read that do not say the person’s name. Use their name at least once in every communication and message as it adds to the conversation.

Absolutely the fundamental aspect of receiving success on SoMee Social. That could be possible as its other name. If you are not networking with others on these sites, and just pumping just your own content and hoping it gets recognized.

To truly achieve your social media marketing objectives, you need to do some social networking as well. Forget the word “competitor”. Other publishers or webmasters in your niche will be your best friends in the social media landscape!

Social Media is a viable channel, an enormously profitable tool and one you should NOT be just playing around with. For serious profits, it’s time to master this one. And….. make it your slave!
