The question of which is best, a website or a blog has a different answer today than it might have a few years ago. As the saying goes “the more things change the more they stay the same”. This holds true when discussing the differences between websites and blogs.
Oh, I’ve had a bunch of blogs cover my business, but I got no sales. Bloggers are just looking for free stuff anyway. Plus I can’t afford to send them samples or waste my time writing guest posts. Enough with these little guys, I’m ready for the big leagues.
Blogs have communities of their own. There are blog networks, blog directories, and lists of friends in most blog accounts. You’d be able to expose your main website’s link to a brand new audience because of this.
Another difference between websites and blogs is the ability to communicate with the visitor. Great online content by definition provide space for comments and back and forth communications on the posts or web pages. Websites, on the other hand; traditionally don’t have this. Some websites now have the flexibility to provide places for comments so this is not such a major difference between the two platforms any more.
There are several revenue sharing sites that share their revenue with their writers. They will place Google ads around your articles and when someone clicks you get a percentage. Most sites pay 50%. Some pay less and some pay more. A few great revenue sharing sites are ehow, triond, flixya, helium and associated content. If you write enough articles you can make a decent side income.
Well to be honest there are a few rotten apples in the bushel, but aren’t there always? Some people of course are not happy with the way technology is changing lives and that’s ok, that’s their opinion. Usually those who aren’t happy with it online blogs don’t blog.
Profiles are easy to access. You can browse sites, enter your search criteria, and begin taking a look at the type of people that match that search criteria. You can see photos, read about their interests, and maybe even see video clips. This is all available at the touch of your mouse. You can check these out in the private of your own home.
A niche website is a website that aims at creating ways for solving small problems; the website can feature videos on how to do various things. A person will be surprised by how much people will be willing to pay to learn how to do stuff that you may have taken for granted. One can promote their sites using pay per click ads.
